Miki has started t have alot of breathing dificulty again lately a few weeks ago she was perscribed steroids as she was coughing a lot and seems to be strugling for breath but her chest was clear a few days after that i took her back to the drs as she was worse and he perscribed neumonia as he said she ounded crackily as well as the fast breathing and sucking in ect she is not finished the antibiotic and her chest sounds clear However she is still coughing a alot and is sucking in under her ribs teribly again the worst ive seen it in a ong time her nurse saw it this morning and was very concerned and told me that if we wasnt going to see her GI this arvo she would send her to the ER, we went to see the GI and her didnt look at her chest as we just spoke GI stuff and i didnt really think about the breathing thing i mentioned it but it never got looked into

what do you thin should we take her to the ER she is asleep now and is really sucking in but isnt distressed, if she wakes up worse should i take her in or not, she sems to be really sucking even worse about every 5breaths and ehr heart rate seems fast (she has a hisory of tacicardia as well so maybe thats what that is

alo what do you think it could be the nurse today told me that sometimes the tummy can going to the chest cavity and cause exactly what miki is doing is the true or she got it wrong

thanks in advance for you help

I'm sorry for getting to this one so late, Amy, I've been at work. If she wakes up, and you feel she is worse, definitely take her in to be checked out. Watch for blue lips and nailbeds, that would indicate low oxygen levels in her bloodstream. Do you still have an O2 sat monitor for her? If so, definitely hook it back up, especially while she's sleeping.

Feel better soon, Miki!!
