Hello, i've posted a question to you before about my daughter who has turners syndrome. Well she is thriving well at this time with her g tube, reflux appears to be under control. my question is about something that has been going on since about january. She began acting uncomfortable in her carseat and bouncy seat..she would hold her breath and also make a grunt noise at times, not like she was having a bowel movement, but like she was uncomfortable. well in march her gi doc thought this was reflux related.. so we switched to prevacid.. we are on elecare.. she uses miralax , has a bm everyday with that.. Now that she is crawling which began in april , she starts to crawl and leans to her right side in the crawling position and stops there and grunts or falls on the floor cuz she's apparently hurting somewhere.. for a while we thought it was her mic key button, but it looks pretty good at this time, and she's still displaying this behavior.. Its been soo frustrating..her pediatrician has no idea..just wondering if you think this could be a bone problem.. maybe something hurts in her hips.. knees...just curious if you've ever heard of a baby displaying this behavior.. thanks

Hi,

Really hard to give you a good answer without examining her and even if I did, I might not know what is causing these symptoms. I can sympathize with your pediatrician. Have him/her check carefully and do the things we do with evaluation of joints. This may help find an answer.

Sorry I couldn't have been more help to you.

Good luck, Dr. Olson
