I have no clue what is going on with Emma at the moment. Well, I do - I think she has a bit of reflux, but I'mjust not sure......

She is fed via NGT, and today whilst doing her bolus feeds, she was refluxing afterwards because I could hear it happening, and after that she was just guzzling the water. So tonight I've given her some Losec to see if it helps.

The thing is she has always been a huge water drinker, so I don't know if its a good enough sign or not that it is hurting her.

She is also coughing a bit lately, get the hiccups a bit, often tells me she feels sick, lately has been running to the toilet to vomit (but doesn't actually do anything), and this all coincides with her telling me she doesn't like to go to sleep now. I was thinking she was dreaming, but I just honestly don't know what is going on with her.

What do you guys think?

Thanks so much - I just loveing having a whole section devoted to these older kids!

Hey again, I am getting all your posts tonight LOL.

My 2 cents LOL, is that she needs the losec, Parker was just off meds, and he started getting worse and he was doing the same things, then it just got worse and worse. It took two weeks still for the losec the kick back in, and Parker is is September so only 2 months younger.

He was off meds 2 months before he needed them again, and it coincided with him getting a cold and it just snowballed, he was hacking up stuff and gagging. He is doing really good again since the losec, maybe it is just a winter thing? Thats what I thought.

I would say the water is to wash away the taste, or to dilute it, water is good for them, I don't think it makes reflux any worse generally.

How did it go? Did the losec help her?
