If you had a "heart song" like the penguins on happy feet, what would yours be, and your DH?

A heart song LOL cute! Well the song that was playing when Dan and I got together was Bob Dylans Hurricane, does that count :rolling: everytime I hear it it reminds me and makes me feel good, so I suppose that is heart issh?

What would yours be?

It's hard for me to pick one for myself - I'll have to think more on that. I haven't seen Happy Feet yet, so I'm not exactly sure of the context. I will say that the song that always cheers me up and gets me moving is "Video Killed The Radio Star". Not lyrically inspirational or anything, just a feel good tune.

DH would definitely say "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. That is his heartsong for sure!

Fun Question!

You all are going to puke on me, but the song that was playing when I fell in love with my dh was "Carried Away" by George Strait, we were in a country bar... and every time I hear that song, it makes me think of "us" LOL... so, yeah, that's it.

We have two "Amazed" by Lonestar was really popular when we met, and George used to sing it to me. It was a little bit over by the time we got married, so our first dance at the reception was "Taking You Home" by Don Henley. He apparently wrote the song for his newborn daughter, but it was a great wedding song, too. We sing it to Brenna all the time now.

Hmmm...well I can't answer for dh because he is outside mowing the yard. When we first got together, our song was "You and Me" by Lifehouse.

Mine and Kens song is How Do I live without you by Trisha Yearwood. It was the first song that we heard together when we started dating. If we ever have a "real wedding" we will dance to that song.

I have not seen the movie either - so I am not really sure what a heart song is?

"Our song" is In Your Eyes - Peter Gabriel - it was our song at our wedding too.

I am way late on this one, but Bill and I have "Everything I do" by Bryan Adams as our song.

As far as my own "heart song" goes, I have quite a few as I am not one to be pigeonholed into only one song. lol

I love Up On The Roof and This Island Earth by The Nylons when mellowing, some Enya, or The Brazilian by Genesis
Mars by Holst when feeling cheesed off
Parade of the Tall Ships for better times or maybe some upbeat Thompson Twins
The Little Drummer Boy as sung by Bing and David Bowie is not just for Christmas ;)
anything by INXS when driving and surrounded by idiots on the road
and many of the golden oldies for kicking up my heels. Nothing beats some CCR as well. :haha:

I just love music and listen to a wide variety. I have a background in band (saxophone, alto clarinet) and love classical, jazz, blues, folk, and rock and roll, and the oldies. Bill loves blues, folk, rock and roll.

By the way, absolutely LOVED the movie! The boys now have it as it was a gift from the inlaws for Easter. Good thing, too as we were going broke renting it. :smt036
