but seems like i havent done oh well i tell you guys evetrything else so i may as well

As you all know miki is small and delayed and had a few so called birth defects :favorites21: i hate that word so any way when she was born one of the concerns was the shape of ehr shins they are very bent and we was told to do d excersizes with her feet to straighten them out which we have been doing we are also standing hr up alot and holding her up and she will do it also and her legs are stil realy crocered and she stands on the side of her feet the side of her litle toe the OT has been worried about it also and so has her pead he considered putting braces on her feet and shins when she was smal and then decided against it as we she was dealing with so much already so we decicded to see how she goes and see if it corects with age not looking like it will

So she has a physio appt today and she is going to have a look at ehr and see if she just needs more excersizes or if she needs to have her legs in braces i really hope not i know that sounds really superficial but i dont want her to have braces

The reason i wasnt going to post this was cause it know it sounds silly worying before the assesment but you guys all know im nuts any way

Amy - you are not crazy!

Miki has been thru so much, I soooo understand that you do not want to add something else that makes her different. Good luck with the appt. I will be thinking of you!

Have you not learned by now that we are ALL nuts here?! :smt036 It is a Mommy thing to worry. We are hardwired for it.

I hope that she will not need braces as well, but if she does it is better now than later on in life. It will likely do so much more for her to get them early and see how it goes. It is not the end of the world to have them. Anyone can see how gorgeous she is with or without braces. If they only see the braces, it is their loss not to see the little girl wearing them. ;)

I know what you mean about it as we all struggle so much to have our kids be "normal". Truth is, they are normal. They just have added uh, "perks". lol

Thinking of you today.

leigh you are so corect about it being better to have them now then when she is older it would be horible if i left it and then she had to go to school with them i would feel so bad for not getting her checked earlier

And again i agree we are all nuts here i think its a gerd mum thing

Amy, I had to corrective shoes when I was little, about Miki's age. I am perfectly fine now. Nothing wrong with me. I was a dancer, a cheerleader, you name it.
I know that is nothing like braces, but please, don't stress, too mcuh, I know easier said than do.
SHe is still beautiful and will live a full life because of you caring for her.
(((hugs))) and don't ever hold anything in just because you think we will think you are crazy. Girl.. we are here for YOU.

don't worry amy, i am sure it will be fine and braces or not, she is a georgeous little girl and will be loved by all! I still have othotics in my shoes as I have very crooked feet and toes and it is UGLY, but I am fine and I walk fine, I just need to wear them to stop the pain and my feet getting worse...she will be ok.

Try not to worry too much about braces. They are not as bad as they seem. My nephew was in them for years and so was the little boy I used to take care of. When they are wearing pants you don't even see them. And even in shorts or dresses they are made of plasitc and don't really stand out that much. They have cute little patterns for the straps that you can pick out.

It really would be better to fix things now. For one thing it will be a lot easier becuase she is still growing so much and also she is too young to know or care.

I understand how you feel. It is just one more thing to deal with and it is an obvious outword sign that there is something 'wrong' with your kid. When my nephew was 1 and had his glasses and braces on his legs, total strangers would come up to my sister and ask her what was wrong with him. Just don't worry about stupid people and know that you are doing what is best for you baby girl.

I don't think it's silly at ALL to be worried now! That's the last thing Miki needs, kwim, on top of everything else! I hope they can correct it with exercises and therapy alone, but if they do opt for braces, it's best to do it now while she's still young and pliable, ya know? Amy, I'm sorry...I wish I could be there to help you! I've got a whole slew of Thomas videos and I make a mean margarita!!!:drinkalot:  :drinkalot:
