I have a 6 week old and am nursing on demand. Which is most of the time right now :hairpull:. So we are starting Prevacid and it has to be given 30 minutes before a feed. Very difficult to do! DS usually wakes up ready to eat and I don't know that I can put him off for 30 minutes without it being 30 minutes of screaming, you know? Any tips?

Will he take a pacifier? That might help a bit with his need to suck...
Oh, boy--I had this same problem with my dd when she was nursing (and am now nursing my 4 week old son on demand...and he appears to be a refluxer, too!).
The one thing that worked for me was to give her the PPI (she was on Prevacid, then later on, Prilosec) first thing in the morning, then change her diaper, wash her face, get her dressed, etc. By the time I'd finished going through this little routine, a bit of time had passed and she was fussy, but her attention was taken somewhat off her hunger, KWIM?
Good luck! It can be tricky to do the empty stomach thing with an on-demand nursling!
Aubrey was formula fed, but I had the same problem when she started taking prilosec. I found giving to her at night worked for us. She gets in 20 minutes before her last bottle. She still wakes up hungry to this day :sad3:
It might take a while, but you'll find what works for your LO.
