I let my son have a sippy cup of water available all day. He usually drinks a couple cups during the day. The last several days he has been drinking a lot of water. He is going through at least three 8 oz cups of water, if not more a day. He also gets 16 oz of formula for a total of about 40 oz of fluids a day.

He has been waking up in the middle of the night soaking wet, because he is leaking through his diaper.
I am going to limit how much water he gets during the day, but I want to make sure he is still getting enough. How much water is good for a 15 month old?

Hard to be critical about drinking water. If this is a sudden change from his usual state of affairs, have him checked by the doctor for diabetes mellitus and insipidus (I doubt very much). Otherwise let him drink.
