I am actually impressed with how informative the local news people are getting about health issues! heres a news story from today: http://www.volunteertv.com/home/headlines/5936011.html
I wonder if I could get them to do one on infant reflux disease??????!!!
My dad has celiac so that is great news!!! He's even had a easier time picking up gluten free items at the local grocery store (as opposed to driving 45 minutes). Awareness for this disease has really grown since he was first diagnosed about 5 years ago.

Here locally it has really took off in the past year with awarness. The gi doc that scoped me a month ago even checked me for it, which suprised me. He said with all my symptoms he couldn't rule it out.. (i don't have it). I am happy to say that this area is really geting up to speed on issues such as this.
It's great. There are a couple restuarants in our area that have a gluten-free menu; Outback Steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse. Which is really great, cause I'm way to scared to cook for my dad so we just take him to dinner.

Thats wonderful! I am in a sitation with carson with allergies (i still question celiac with him) that his gi doc says no resturant food because u don't know what is in it and how its cooked..... I hope more resturants start doing that.....
Not sure if they have those two restuarants in your area, but my Dad has never had a problem with them. Of course, he keeps is simple with a steak and a baked potato or something like that....your LO probably isn't up for a steak just yet :-)
