I called to get a refill of Albuterol. They took my number in case the "doctor" needed to call me back. He did, it wasn't OUR doctor, a different one in our practice, anyway, when he called he verified the script and said, and you do it "every 6 hours" I just agreed with him and hung up. UGH... should I only be doing breathing treatments on him twice a day? Or should I do them like I have been, 4 times a day?!

Just keep doing what you've been doing. You can always clear it up with your OWN doctor when he is available. And no, if he's still wheezing, twice a day is NOT enough. The effects of albuterol last 4-6 hours, so every six hours is about right. If it's ok with your doctor, you could even do it every 4 hours if needed. Just be sure to keep up with the Pulmicort twice a day. Oh, is Jack getting 0.25mg Pulmicort or 0.5 mg Pulmicort? If it's the 0.25mg strength, you could ask your doc about upping to the 0.5mg (Brenna's on 0.5mg, so it's not too much for Jack). That might help control the wheezing a little better.

He is getting .5 of Pulmicort once a day. Should I do that twice a day? Will that take care of the wheezing if I do that? **wheels turning** lol... or would that be too much?

I'm sorry, .5 of Pulmicort w/.5 of Albuterol once a day and then .5 of Albuterol the other 3 times with two squirts of a saline solution *whew*
