Why in life aren't things simple? After last months session when Cooper was on the way to beating the stutter, the last two weeks he has reverted back to being as bad as before.

A couple of things could be attributed to this one is that we have been preoccupied with Parkers wean and then the testing, school is coming up and he doesn't even want to go, but the final thing that she said is that it could be related to the seizure he had about the same time his stuttering started going down hill again....It is all too much.:hairpull: :hairpull: :hairpull: :hairpull: :hairpull: :hairpull: :hairpull: :hairpull: :hairpull: :hairpull: :hairpull: :hairpull: :hairpull:

So we have to go back to basics, 5 minutes every hour getting him to say simple one word, words, like flash cards, to teach him to control it again from the beginning. I think I need a drink:drinkalot: .

On the good side, Parker who also had started stuttering has gotton better in such a short time, like a couple of weeks, which is apparently if you get the right treatment straight away, is how it should be. Sad really for Cooper as we went to therapy straight away but it was a different technique and did not work.

Oh well soldier on I suppose.

((((((HUG)))))) I'm sorry Rach, this breaks my heart. :sad5:

Poor Cooper. Like you said, soldier on. I'm sure that he is very nervous about starting school. That alone would probably do it.
**sigh** I don't know what else to say.
Give him a hug for me. :(

I hated to start school too - I was so scared I would make myself sick. Maybe after some things settle down things will get better. Things never settle down though, right?

Rachel, I'm sorry Cooper's having such a tough time. Poor little guy - there's always so much going on in his world. Give him lots of  for me. I wish I had some advice, I don't know what to say. It's great that Parker's stuttering improved so quickly. I hope Cooper makes the same progress soon!

I hope it is just the stress of school and he will get back on track. It must be so frustrating to make progress and then have a set back.

Oh crud...Sorry Rachel
I hope since he was doing well, the therapy will help and he will be speaking better in no time
It always seems like it is one thing or another, huh?
