Amy, if you like to read, I would definitely suggest this book.
The Out of Sync Child - Recognizing and Coping with Sensory Integration Dysfunction
by Carol Stock Kranowitz
This book really opened my eyes. A great read.

Amy - I totally agree with Jean. Buy the book, Out of Sync Child. I am half way thru it and it amazes me, it is truly an eye opener. I am so grateful that I caught Jason's early in his life. We know that he thrives on motion and has some texture issues.
He is involved in Occupational therapy thru Early Intervention and we've started to see some slight improvements. He's been in therapy since November....he can somewhat handle noises better now, but he still wanders constantly all day long.

I completely agree that the book The Out of Sync Child is the best. There is also another one in the same vein I believe by the same author for going to school with sensory issues.
Having a child with sensory intergration issues is very hard to manage. Do you have any therapy for him at all?
