Ok, I'm suspecting that both girls have "croup" UGH....
Will Jack's nebulizer help them? And if so... will it hurt to give them his dose? I'm sure that they would need more....
HE is on .5 of Albuterol and a vile of Pulmicort, we do the Pulmicort once a day and the Albuterol the other 3 times.... so, I'm sure that you can't really tell me how much to give them can you? **hint hint** they weigh 65 lbs.... Grace is miserable. They both have the most horrible hacking cough....
Thank you dear.

Ok, first, it should be prescribed be a doc, I know that you already know that. 2nd, racemic epinephrine is usually the preferred nebulized med for croup because it is more efficient at reducing swelling and inflammation in the soft tissues of the larynx. Third, the dose we use for adults on albuterol is 2.5mg (which is one premixed unit dose container or .5 ml of the undiluted solution from a multidose bottle). I know you've already tried the hot, steamy bathroom, humidifier, and c old outside air, right? For your sake, I hope they're better soon. Poor girls!

Yes, but now I don't think it's croup.
We had girl scouts today and one of my little scouts was sick last week with a fever and a cough. Her mom took her to the doc and it is a virus, a strain of strep. I'm thinking that their strep did not completely go away.

UGH.... so, I'm doing cough medicine and Tylenol. I suppose that I will call the doc tomorrow.
Thanks. ;)
