Hi Marta!
I have not talked to you in a long time. I have often thought about you in New York and hope your daughter is feeding much better since our last discussion.
Her apprehension with stuffed animals can be very normal. Perhaps it is a fear of something with eyes? It can also be a tactile or touch fear. I would not worry too much about sensory integration issues unless there were other signs. Some signs would include difficulty transitioning to new food textures, hypersensitivity to noise or touch or clothing textures, rigidity with routine, etc. If she dislikes being cuddled or held, you might consider reading The Out of Sync Child by Carol Cranowitz to rule out sensory issues. Otherwise, I would not worry too much about the stuffed animals. Some kids just do not like them.
Thanks,
Robynne

Hi Marta:
It's so good to hear from you again. I am very worried to hear that your daughter has reached 33 pounds for her age. I was worried about her weight at 4 months of age. You are apparently getting food into her and I am concerned about the way you are getting food into her. If you are shoveling or forcing food into her and she is gagging and vomiting, you are just making her food aversion even worse. That is my # 1 no no! I am so happy to hear that she no longer has to eat while asleep and the Baby Einstein video is working, however, you must look at QUALITY Marta, not quantity. To have to feed her with a dropper is not good either. How are you doing this in 10 minutes????
Is your daughter on any medication now? The fact that she will only take water from a sippy is normal. Have you tried watered down juice? Does this mean she is refusing the bottle altogether? Have you tried seeking out assistance from a feeding therapist locally? Please catch me up....it has been several months since we last spoke.

I am not forcing her to eat and she open mouth for dropper. She doesnt gag on milk and puree she gags on mashed food and diffrent food. I cook for her veggies and meat and puree this put baby einstain on Tv and if I hold spoon close to her mouth for some time she open mouth, I sometimes shovel becouse I have to hold spoon long time before she open her mouth but I never force.
She never gags on milk and is easy to feed her by dropper or sometimes I can use mix dropper and spoon to feed her milk. It is preety quick 5 or 6 oz just 10 min she wants eat.
What shoulk I do now?
I will try to reach you in the office but I dont know what time is the best
Do you have any advice?

She doesnt accept botle at all, she doesnt like juice but she likes baby tea. This is polish product from my country for babys one month and older. She likes it much more than water but only from sippy cup no from botle.
She is on prevacit 30 mg a day.
I saw feeding therapist but it is look like she doesnt know what to do . She has never seen baby like my daughter ( she told me this) and GI told this too.
She gags and vomiot on texture food

Hi Marta:
Sorry, I was not in the office today. Dallas had a mini ice "storm" and the whole city shut down! We Texans do not know what to do with freezing rain...lol. As usual, the weather men panicked and it was really nothing.
Anyhow, please read the response to Ada today for an idea to get your daughter to drink your Polish tea or milk. I am sorry you did not get matched up with a good feeding therapist :sad3: I will be in the office tomorrow and will try to call either in between or after patients. I am at a different hospital Wed. and back to my office Thursday in case we miss each other.
How old is your daughter now so I can give you ideas when we talk?
