Hi,

My son has had a range of chromosome tests done which have come back normal, but now the last one they want to do is called a telometric FISH test, which studies the very tips of the chromosomes. They said they rarely have to do this test because the other tests usually give them an indication if there is a problem.
Just wondering whether anyone has had this test done before or know anyone who has?

Also, we had the blood test a few months ago and they put the blood in the wrong tube! I was ready to get the results (after waiting 3 months for them - it takes 3 months to get results back), and then they told me there was a stuff up and will have to do it again and wait another 3 months for the results.
I am quite disappointed as i wanted these results for reassurance that my son is okay.
Oh well, more waiting........

Payton had that test. They were checking him for a variety of syndromes, including William's Syndrome.

All came back normal!

Not a big deal. Just a blood test. I actually forgot they did the test and only remembered when they called me with the results!
