My daughter is on the prevacid 22.5 mg solutab a day.
We give her 15mg first thing in the morning, before her first bottle and 7.5mg in the pm before dinner. My question is, when I split the tab in two halves to give her 7.5 mg in the pm, do I throw away the other half?
I've heard that once it's broken, it loses it's potency in 10 minutes and becomes worthless.
Another theory is to keep it sealed in the tapperware container to make sure it stays fresh.
I've done neither, I kept the broken half in the medi cup over night and gave it to her the next evening.
Please advise.
