I was just woundering how long it takes for prevacid to leave the system..my son kelton only been on then 14 days but now waiting to see the ped to get reassesed..He was on 15 ml solutabs, Once daily in am (30 min after his morning bottle).

Hi tina, sorry for the really late reply. This seems to be a common concern among moms with prevacid in their kids system. From what I have found out, it does not stay around very long after a dose unless the active pumps are pumping acid in the stomach. In that case it hangs on to them but after a day you really need to re-dose. If I find anything further I'll let you know.
