Ok, I am taking everyone to the doc on Monday. Jack goes to the GI and to the ped. He has to have his second round of the flu shot and he is going to look into this darn cold that he has had for going on 8 weeks.

So, you experienced asthma people, what should I ask? What kind of medicine? He just refilled his albuterol AGAIN. This is the 3rd bottle in 8 weeks. Ack........ and he is still on the Singulair. I asked for another form, the doc. said that the only other form is a chewable tablet and that he won't be able to eat it. So, I'm stuck with this darn powder stuff. I've just started putting it into his bottles.

Just a thought, but if it's a chewable tablet....can you crush it and mix it w/ some applesauce? Just to see if it works, KWIM?

Well, that is a wonderful idea, but the powder is supposed to be mixed with applesauce and that is our problem, he will not eat all of it, so I can't tell how much he is getting.

If he is taking it from his bottle then I would just stick with that. Of course if he doesn't take a whole bottle you are still stuck with the question of how much of it he got. Why wouldnt' he be able to chew the tablet up? I have seenthem and they aren't that bad, especially if they are broken in half or even quarters.

My thoughts exactly. He can chew a cracker.
Maybe the ped is thinking because it will be small, he might choke, then I will blame him. I don't know. :angry7:
