This afternoon we met with Noah's physical therapist for the first time to treat his Torticollis and she was fabulous! She said he has a very mild case and is convinced that it is a result of the GERD, where he tries to position himself to get comfortable. She seems to think it's all in positioning and that he will be treated quickly and effectively. We learned 4 different stretching exercises to use at home and are supposed to do them at every diaper change (at least). Our next visit is in two weeks as she didn't think it would be an issue or take too long to correct this. I'm so happy! Not happy that he has this and we have to do therapy, but that she didn't find anything else wrong and thinks we can treat it quickly. :smt041

Oh, she was also impressed with his motor skills and how big he was. He yabbered away and smiled at her the whole time, then tried to sit up while she was showing us the exercises. LOL

I'm glad you had such a productive session, Amanda! It always makes you feel more like you're accomplishing something when you have a well-defined plan to follow.

Great news Amanda...My ds is also seeing a PT for his torticollis and having cranial sacral therapy. It's amazing what these PT's can do! I have definetly seen a bit of an improvement in Jackson. Glad to hear the good news! Yay Noah!:yahoo:

Sounds like a good session! :)

We had to do exercises with Josh when he was a newborn b/c he had this huge knot on the side of his head and would not turn his head that way.

Thanks so much ladies! She checked and didn't feel any knots and didn't see any flattening of his head. I was so relieved! Of course that doesn't mean he can't develop anything, but I'm just hopeful we can get it worked out.

Very cool! I've never been there myself, but I work for a service company and have to send my techs there quite often. :)

Not much to see. LOL I was shocked last time I was there to see they had more than one gas station now and fast food restaurants!
