Dylan has been congested for a few days. He did this when he was a few weeks old and that is when we found out about the Reflux. But, it went away. Now it is back. Have any of you dealt with this? What should I do?

Well, maybe his reflux is flaring and causing congestion, does he spit up or is he a silent refluxer?
Or, could be getting a cold, it is that time of year.
Ugh... I hope that it clears up soon, my little guy has been congested for 6 weeks now, and his is alleriges/cold/whatever. ;)

Eric was/is always congested. His nose and sometimes
his lungs.
If he's eating well enough, he sounds like darth vader.
When he was an infant I tried saline drops, and used a bulb syringe
before ever feeding, and before bed (or should I say when I thought
he might sleep LOL) but I never got anything out, and when I tested
with a mirror to see if he could breath through his nose he always could.
He sounded like he was snoring awake or asleep, and it got WAY worse
when he was on his back, during/after eating, and during/after crying. If this sounds familiar at all check out the link in
my sig about Laryngomalacia
I think Eric grew out of his Laryngomalacia, but now he has reflux congestion.
Worse in the morning or after sleeping. Worse after eating/crying, and puking. Some mucus is
present when you suction, and saline drops help somewhat. When they breath out or in you can hear the congestion.
Laryngomalacia noise only happens on inspiration.
If it's Laryngomalacia
Time is the cure unless it's severe enough for surgery. Possibly talk to you ped
about prone sleeping. Eric did much better on his back, so much so the pedi
gave the O.K. because Eric used to stop breathing a lot on his back.
If it's reflux congestion
Time is also the only REAL cure. If the baby is refluating into his sinuses
it's gonna happen, and you'll see it on off until your baby no longer has reflux.
Reflux medicine helps Eric with his congestion somewhat (definitely better with meds, but not gone), but it's still going up there, so on and off all the time he sounds congested in there.
(Congestion can also be a sign of allergy too I think, but I don't know much about this one, when it comes to an infant)
In either case talk to the ped about it, maybe even keep a log of when it happens and if it correlates with any other symptoms.

Well this sounds just like my son Emerson @ three weeks he was congested and had a ear infection and for the past three weeks he has been to the ped @ least once a week. He is so congested I think due to the reflux, that he won't take his bottles, he only wants solids!I hope your babe gets through this soon it can be very trying I know! I'm constantly suctioning him and @ 7 monthes he fights me!!! Has his reflux flared up lately? I know my son has and thats when the congestion came back!!!
