Poor baby, had his WIC appt yesterday and of course he got his finger pricked and was not happy...I was not there, but even worse yet, he had blood drawn for lab work yesterday too.....3 to hold him down while the nurse took 2 tubes of his blood, OMG grandma would be crying too.....he did not want the little dog toy they gave him...it did not make up for his suffering.....and he did the I can't catch my breath cause I cried so hard all the way home. I babysat for him yesterday afternoon...when I got there he was napping...when he woke he was in a really good mood, so I pulled up his sleeve to see his owie and that babies bottom lip stuck out so far I could have put nick- nacks on it, and then he began to cry....OMG terrifying memories.....it's was so sad, and I had to squish him up cause it was cute as hell too! Poor baby boy:sad3:

mick-nacks! AH HAHAHAHAHA Poor Jayden.... We've had our share of needles....spinal tap, a few iv's and a few failed attempts at iv's...Now her I'mmunization shots don't phase her at all....she cries for about 10 seconds.

It's my understanding it's just for Enimea, and lead levels...
seems like a lot of blood though?? I guess one tube for each test....:sad3:

Oh Gosh, Debbie, they never take vials of blood from us at WIC. They always just do the finger prick. Eek... poor thing. Even more so now. :sad3:

Oh poor Jayden. It is awful when they cry like that. Lucky he had grandma to comfort him in the afternoon and give him some good squishes. I bet that made up for it! He's no dummy, he doesn't want little dog toys, he wants some cuddles for his pain!

Poor baby, that is so sad. I also wonder how long it takes before these kids are afraid to trust that no one will hurt them.

BTW, grammy, what the heck are you doing up so late. (I know, I know IRDing :signs121: )

I'm was in bed by 9:00 I think last night! You make me look like a big lazyhead!:sleepy2:

WIC didn't take 2 tubes...they only pricked him ...he went to the clinic for lab work....I don't think the nurses at wic are that talented...LOL
