I have been reading the other posts in regards to the dosing of the Prevacid. My son is 6 months old and is on 45 mg of Prevacid but we give him the 15 mg solutab 3 times a day.

Two questions...it seems like more Prevacid than most of the posts and since raising the dose 5 days ago he has been waking up more frequently at night and crying. Almost every hour. Can too much Prevacid cause that?

Second question, since he needs to have an empty stomach and wait 30-60 minutes to get a dose, I have been giving it to him 6 am, 4 pm and 8 pm. Is three times two much? If I went to two times a day, what time should that be?

Hi, I'm guessing he is in the 10-30 kg range which is 15 mg of prevacid once or twice daily. The waking up could be from the prevacid or as we have seen in other posts, maybe it is not working as well as it should be. Finally, twice daily is usually enough for this drug (am and suppertime).
