sorry i know im posting on loads of diff bits lol

just wondered if anyone has any expericence of Epiglottic undercoating

matthew was found to have this last year after he had a Videofluscorpy done

it was very weird seeing this on the xray, they hoped he would of sorted itself out with the reflux meds

they havent repeated the VF as yet and im not sure if they will do another one

does it tend to get better with reflux being treated
at the mo hes reflux isnt undercontrol with treatment

thanks

Don't appologize for posting. That's why we are here. To help you. ;)

I know nothing about what you are talking about. But, I will attempt to see if I can find someone.

Gosh, that's a new one for me, too.
I know what the epiglottis is, but beyond that, I haven't a clue. Did the doctor explain this to you? If so, can you tell us a bit more about it?

*runs off to look this up*

hello
yes they explained to me what it was,
bascially i hope i get this right lol

the epiglottis is a flap whcih covers the windpipe, so when u eat and drink the flap stops the food and drinking going down

but when matthew had his VF, when he swallowed any sort of food and drink, hes would escpae under the epigloottis but b4 going all the way down would pull itself back up so no signs of aspirating but obvisoulsy if it didnt pull bk he would

it was a very very weird thing to see on a xray and also a weird thing for someone to have

all i say is trust matthew he dont do things easy

love nat

Oh gosh, see, you learn something new every day.

Wow, it's funny, I say the same thing, "when we do it, we go all out" LOL ;-)
