matthew is 27 months old and suffers from asthma, hes on steroid inhaler and salbutamol

he also suffers from central sleep apnoea, where hes brain forgets to tell him to breathe

the hopsitla did think it was reflux related but its not which is a shame as if it was it could of been controlled

hes on a apnoea alarm which goes off from 5-30 times a night
hes required resus on 2 occasions both where hes been sick in his sleep

he suffers from terrible chest problems
hes has over 20 chest infections, bronchiltis, rsv, pneumonia which he currently has and its very very tiring

love nat

I was just told that it could be floppy airway problem with Caleb and he does the same thing as yours does. You might check this. We are having the same problems only we just had the reflux surgery to correct the reflux and it is still happening. I dont know the real name for it but that is what they told me about an hour ago. I hope it helps you in some way!

LOL Nat I wish I had read this first as it describes what I was asking before perfectly.

I was just going to say 20 infections to me sounds like some serious reflux complications. Did they check if he was aspirating yet?

Rachel, I'm glad that you are on, this poor girl has been asking questions that I can not answer, all of my responses have been "I don't know, but I will try to find out"

LOL sorry Nat, but we do have people that know what they are talking about. Rachel for one!;-)
