Does anyones dc snore a lot?? Jackson always snores even if he isn't congested he snores, sometimes loud too. When we saw the pedi allergist he suggested seeing an ENT doctor to get his adenoids checked out. He has never had an ear infection though. The doc thought the snoring and poor sleeping was enough to get it checked out. Just wondering if anyone else has a snoring baby. We see his GI Friday so I will defiinitely bring it up with him too.

My Jack doesn't snore, but Gabby does. LOL... I think that I read somewhere that it is a sign of asthma... but, do not quote me on that! ;-) could just be what the doc thinks, his adnoids or congestion.

My peanut snores, but I think it's the laryngomalacia. She snores louder than her mom!! LOL. I remember the ENT telling me that the acid reflux causes irritation in the larynx and that is why the snoring is so loud. It could be the same thing, maybe the acid is causing some irritation in your dc. It good to get it checked out though. It'll probably be nothing to worry about. :-) With Peanut it just became like white noise when I sleep. LOL.

Meagan I don't want to worry you but snoring is the most significant sign of sleep apnea. I would ask the Dr about this, if you are worried about his sleep disturbance, ask to have a sleep study done.

If sleep apnea is determined, then what they do in most cases is take the adenoids and or the tonsils out and this will stop the snoring in most cases (like over 90%) this is called obstructive apnea and is quite common.

Parker used to snore, and Cooper snores more than Parker now, but I haven't worried about it.

The rule of thumb is, are they getting enough sleep, are they waking happy. If not to either of these and it isn't reflux or behavioural, then it would be best to get a refferral.

If this is making no sense it is because I am so tierd now, pm me, and I will get back to you tomorrow.
