Hi,

I assume she had pyloric stenosis in the past.

If the reflux is being treated with maximal measures, with the doses of the proton pump inhibitors and the anti-acid meds pushed to the max, and she has been evaluated by a pediatric gastroenterologist at a pediatric hospital, with still no luck, then a fundoplication would be warranted. I would make sure she is evaluated by pediatric specialists before this decision is made. She probably will need feeding therapy for what sounds like some oral aversion problems.

Good luck, dr. Olson
