It has been over three weeks but we finally got the swallow study scheduled. :yahoo: It is set for October 3. It was such a pain getting the ped’s office and the GI’s office on the same page to get the referral through and then the insurance denied it at first so they had to resubmit it. It finally got approved and then the ped’s office and GI’s office were arguing about who was supposed to set up the test with U of M! :banghead: They finally faxed it to U of M today and they set up the apt right away.

My only concern is that I did not get any say in the time. They set it up for 1:45. Sebastian will only eat solids for Breakfast and Diner and he has a bottle for lunch around 11:30 or 12:00. There is no way he will eat or drink anything if he has his lunch bottle so we will have to keep him distracted until the test. Hopefully if he is out he will forget about eating, and then be so hungry he will eat anything.

Katey - I was just think about you today! Please keep us updated and good luck. Maybe you can adjust Sebastians' eating schedule a bit that day....*keeping our fingers crossed for you*

I wish! He has always set his own schedule, esepicaly when it comes to eating. If he is not interested he will clamp his mouth shut and keep turning away. He does not eat very well when we are out, he gets to distracted. If we keep him busy hopefully he will forget about lunch.

We have the GI apt on the 5th so we should get some answers right away.

I am with Miori, post the date on the calendar, and let us know. Wishing you luck and hope it all goes ok. Maybe the timing isn't perfect, but at least you have the appt all set

You guys will do fine, I remember the same thing when we had the upper GI and Parkers endoscopy and neither time he cared that he hadn't eaten, lol.

Good luck with the testing.

Aubrey's the same way. If we have a day where we are at a picnic or something, her total intake for the day will be about 20 ounces cause she is soo nosey. Then she wakes in the middle of the night, hungry!
