I was just wondering is there any way that Zantac could make a baby wired, my son has been on it for months and we have been weaning him off it for the last few weeks, he is actually almost completely off of it and last night he slept through the night for the 1st time!:yahoo:

Angela, although anxiety and agitation are listed side effects of ranitidine (esp in elderly and neonates), they occur infrequently and it may be more of a coincidence that he is sleeping all night. If you were giving Zantac EFFERdose, which contains benzyl alcohol - some extra side effects may occur.
