What formula would be best for a 2 month old who is having problems pooping soft stools. His stools have been thick. He was on a whey formula but spits up quite a bit, so I switched to a lactose free formula and the stiffer stools started, the spitting up slowed with the help of zantac 2 xs a day.

I generally just add about an oz or two of a 1:1 dilution of regular prune juice and water each day. This usually does the trick. There are no formulas that uniformly, with every kid, cause the stools to be soft.
