I have 12 week old twins adjusted age 7 weeks. They weigh between 8 and 9 lbs. I would like to give them one of the above mentioned meds but need a dose amount. Do you just use the otc adult version or is there an infant version I should use. They have a really hard time eating after their first burp. Any advice would be a big help.

FYI - we gave my son 1ml every 3-4 hours of Maalox when he was the age of your twins, per the Ped's instructions.

Unfortunately, this question, although it seems simple is just beyond the scope of a pharmacist/otc counselling matter. What I can tell you is that the dose for infants is 1-2 ml/kg/dose given 1-3 hours after meals and at bedtime. Before going to far with this however, check with your pediatrician
