Hi, and thank you so much for all your help on these boards. I am a mother of a 3 year old former GERD baby, and a 5 month old current GERD baby! My question is about the 3 year old. Long story short, he was diagnosed with reflux at 2 weeks old, we did the Zantac, Mylanta, and thickened Alimentum feedings. The reflux went away around 9 months of age.

Currently, he is 3 years old and for the past couple of months has been clearing his throat sometimes constantly, and complaining that it hurts at times. He would cough horribly in his sleep. He has broken out in hives twice in the past 2 months...no new foods, etc. He is currently taking Nasonex, Zyrtec, and Singulair. Still, the throat clearing, and the hives at times. The night time cough has almost disappeared, but he says from time to time that he doesn't feel good and that his throat hurts. He has been seen, no strep. My question is could this be GERD coming back or just allergies?
