Hello All !!!
Wow, this place has gotten huge !!!
That's so awsome !!! I've been sneaking in about once a week for months now keeping updated on all the old and new gerdlings :) They are all so cute :)
Thought I'd drop in and give a little update on Noah. It seems I only update when he's doing poorly :(
Noah had a great school year and ended Kinder. so-so. He was a little run down and achy but, we figured nothing a long summer break wouldn't cure.
He was up to a whopping 47lbs (not bad for almost 7 years old) but, has spent his summer seeing how low he can actually get the scale down too....he is now at 41-41.5lbs depending on the time of day. We have been in and out with testing ect. Not too much testing though cause he is so weak and run down we can't take any chances with over doing him. His scope showed at least 4 days worth of food in the stomach (weird as he has a pyloraplasty intact) also found some really nasty lesions and the bottom of the wrap (the area on the bottom side of the fundo) The lesions have been too oozy the last 3 times the Dr.s have been in there this summer to biopsy we have to wait until Noah's stronger to do it or for the lesions to heal up a bit. Noah's bowels are on strike, 1st gastric emptying was over 4 hours for 10% clearance. 2nd was worse until we flushed him with some Magnesium and forced some activity down there. He is of course back on the j-tube feeds the g-tube ones were pointless. He is still too weak for TPN as the fear is that if he were to get a sepsis infection at the early stages of the TPN the Dr. doesn't think Noah's body could handle it. So, we are in limbo, school starts next week but, Noah will need to stay home at least until we get a few pounds on him. Only God knows how that is going to happen. Once, we get some weight on him then the surgeon can hopefully find where the problem is in the bowels and readjust the stomach a bit so it isn't getting so beat up by the reflux. Last PH probe showed 58% over 48hours !!!! Ouch !!!! Any how he is still the sweetest little man in town, He is breaking our hearts as usually even at his sickest he is up running around, he hasn't left the living room in over a month. So the summer has been really quite without him stirring up trouble with his little sis' !!!! I miss it and really need that caous back !!!!
