For those of you who have children that get speech therapy. What activities does the ST do? Any suggestions for speech activities I can do at home? I've tried looking online but keep coming up with activities for older kids not almost 2 year olds.
I'm trying to meet with Eliana's ST next week hopefully. But in the meantime thought I'd ask you girls.
Thanks!

Jeanette, Does Elaina say any words yet? Does she understand insrtuctions and what you are saying? Out St for Zoee said to use 2 words sentencs for her (ei. get shoes, want milk?) When looking at a book, try to look at a book that only has four object on it b/c other wise it is too "busy" and it is easier to go and name the object. You could do nusery rymes like duck duck goose(zoee loves that one!) Any little fisher price playset that you have will work as well, say if you have a farm, then you can do just animal noises or just label the animal, like the Cow , duck, pig. There are some suggestions for you. I hope it helps some!

Shannon~
Eliana says mumma, bye bye, ball, mine, dog clear as day but she just srted saying these within the last 2 weeks. Except mumma & bye bye she has been saying for 7 months.
She says mi for milk.
She says ple for please.
She understands alot but doesn't talk. She understands things like "get your coat then go to the door so we can go bye bye" She has been understanding thigns like this since she was 14 months old.
Eliana HATES books. She wants nothing to do with them except chewing on them. She won't even watch TV or eat sweets not even ice cream, pudding or jello. She LOVES fruits & veggies & milk & water NO juice. ODD child. LOL
She does have some playsets and I've been naming the pieces. She doesn't even try to repeat things.
Thanks!
