Not familiar, and I'm just trying to gather some info for when I see the gi again. What are symptoms of DGE? Ava's got major poo probs...I've heard of "dumping" and I'm wondering about some of Ava's issues. Can anyone w/ experience fill me in? Also, are there any other gi issues that may be causing this? My younger brother had an intususception (sorry, spelling) at 17 months, and Ava often exhibits some of the symptoms he showed. Both ped and gi say it's not hereditary and is too "quick" of an a problem, that she would not be showing signs of it for this long. Any input from anyone is greatly appreciated!

Our son had DGE, corrected with surgery, symptoms are lack of appetite, vomiting 3 or more hours after meals, (more like 6 hours after if it is severe like our son, he would vomit the next day), reflux, and infections.

"Dumping" is the opposite of DGE, it is when the stomach empties too fast, usually because of stomach surgery, our son has had minor problems with this after surgery, symptoms are like a hypoglycemic reaction, severe stomach pain and explosive diarrhea all of which happen in a matter of minutes and then stop all together.
