Anyone know what the difference is between the Dr. Browns standard and wide neck bottles? In an attempt to find the perfect bottle for my dd, today we are trying those (after many failed attempts with other bottles). I bought the standard (Target didn't have the wide neck ones). I was just wondering what the difference was, if any?

I think it is just a larger nipple size. :)

The wide necks have a much larger nipple like the Playtex Nursers. That is the only difference, but I think it can make a big difference. If your daughter is drinking out of the standard Dr. Brown's with ease, then those are probably the ones for her. Noah cannot suck out of those, but he does great with wide necks.

Wide neck is for easy transition from breast so, usually standard is easier for a baby to use but cameron likes the wide neck better as well. She was bf at first so maybe that's why?

Yeah, Aubrey was bf for about four days..once we got home from the hospital I pumped and put it in a bottle for her. She just couldn't get the whole bf'ing thing down and a bottle was just easier for her. She would fall asleep all the time.

Anyway, the DB's are going OK so far. She just has this thing about half way through the bottle she starts moving the nipple all around her mouth?? Not sure what that is about. Sometimes I wonder if her teeth are starting to set.

I don't think they've helped much with the gas though, she's had some major burps today!
