Since cutting out ALL dairy and most soy (except soy letchin) I have a hard time eating enough. It seems with Jackson being so demanding plus not being able to eat "quick" foods as much I am not getting enough calories. I have been losing too much weight and with my past eating disorder issues everyone is telling me I can't lose more weight and etc. I am REALLY not trying to lose weight, but I often can't enough and really don't have much of appetite.
Any idea on any "supplement" type things I could try?? I am very seriously thinking about going on a VERY basic with the least allergenic foods and seeing if Jackson improves, but I can't lose much more weight. Hope I put this in the right forum also.

Meagan that is a bit of a worry. Have you seen the Dr about a supplement that doesn't have dairy or soy, there must be something out there. Have you tried PMing Mary and Melanie (Owensmom), they both have been doing the diet for a while so may be able to help you more.
What about penut butter, or making meals with extra calories in them, preparing meals the night before. I wish I could help you more. Good luck.
I, too, noticed that the weight was melting off rather quickly when I went on the MSPI diet. I don't think I lost as much weight as you are, but it's still an issue.
There are lots of prepared foods that don't contain soy/dairy and I've just kept my house stocked with them! I eat lots of Annie's frozen pizzas (the cheeseless ones) and dairy-free burritos, crackers with almond butter, and I love the Alexia fries. I think because B eats 3 meals and 2 snacks, I didn't have as much of a problem because I am always eating with her.
If you can, perhaps you could make up a batch of pasta/sauce (Muir Glen organic roasted garlic sauce doesn't contain any dairy or soy)--brown some ground beef to put in it, which will add calories...and zap it in the microwave the next day for a quick meal. Celery and almond (or peanut) butter is pretty quick (make up a batch at night and keep in the 'fridge). Late July makes a dairy/soy-free version of something similar to mini Ritz Bitz crackers (they're mini peanut butter cracker sandwiches--really good tasting and high in cals!).
I hope you're able to put on some weight...take a look at the MSPI food list and see if there are some prepared foods that appeal to you. I'm adding a few more today, too.
Good luck! :-)

Thanks for the ideas ladies. Mary I just last week went to a Health Food Store for the first time and found some good snacks that are MSPI friendly. So I think between that and just making sure I am taking time to eat that I will be okay. I am not underweight or anything just don't want to lose much more. I might also pick up some Boost Breeze, it's kind of like a boost but is like a juice. I am not sure how much of this is not being able to eat a whole lot or just not being real hungry, probably both. For awhile I was very tired and getting a lot of headaches. I decided to start taking my prenatals again and have actually felt much better.
Also Mary thanks for starting that list. I will have to go check it again before I go back to the Health Store.

I sometimes find myself not eating a lot either, especially on the days that Owen isn't feeling well and is stuck on me all day.
Mary already gave you good advice, I like the cheeseless pizza as well, haven't looked if the have the dairy/soy free buritos over here.
I also eat instant oatmeal, bagels with peabutter and jelly, and there are some organic cereal bars that are good as well. Especially when you are busy, I also try and drink some juice or sunny-d they have some calories too. What about when you cook meals just make a little bit more and freeze the leftovers, makes a perfect and quick meal.
I hope you can find some things that will help you keep the weight on. Oh and by the way, Oreo's are fine to eat too, lol. I buy the oreo thin crisps, they don't have the cream and they have 100 calories per pack. That is great when you have the munchies.
