ok. This is the next round of testing. I dont know the names of the tests, so i'll just explain them.
First test:
bronchoscopy. Where they go down with a camera and look at his voice box, and his lungs to see asperiaton. Correct me if i'm wrong...
Q's i have.. .
They have to sedate Nathan for this. :(
What is the FINAL outcome of how to fix his problem if this is the cause of the choking? It can't be thicker feeds, cause we tried that.
Next test:
testing the reflux. They see how many times he reflux's, how HIGH the reflux is, and when it comes.
I heard the only to fix the over active refluxer, is to have SURGERY! EEK. is that true? If that is the case, how do they do the surgery? do they cut open his neck to make it smaller so the reflux doesnt come up? Or do they do something inside him?
Sigh.
Those are what its coming down too. They have almost ruled out everything with GI, testing..
Yet again, if you know the correct terminology, please correct me. I'm just trying to relate to what the DR's are telling me at the Hospital!
TIA!
