View Full Version : Pulminary Testing in infants? Alisteal 06-03-2006, 09:47 PM .... ConnorsMommy 06-03-2006, 09:53 PM Connor was referred to a Pulminologist when he was 2 months old due to a chronic cough and stridor. We had a CF test done (Cystic Fibrosis) which came back negative:D and also a Bronchoscopy (sp?) which is where they stick a small camera into there throat while they are put under to look for any abnormalities. I'm not sure what other tests that they commonly perform. Alisteal 06-03-2006, 10:00 PM ... ConnorsMommy 06-03-2006, 10:02 PM TY for answering! We were told we'd be there 3 maybe 4 hours. So I assume they'll be doing testing while we're there. I would definetly think they would if you will be there that long. I don't think they would do a Bronchoscopy that day because they would not let him eat for several hours before. What are you're little one's symptoms? Alisteal 06-03-2006, 10:07 PM ... ConnorsMommy 06-03-2006, 10:14 PM Wow Melissa, poor baby has a lot going on! Connor has also had a chronic cough since he was a couple of weeks old, he also used to have a very rattly chest. He still has the cough but takes Pulmicort for it which helps a lot and the noisy chest has gone away. His Pulminologist thinks he has Asthma. I sure hope they can figure out what's causing all the problems! Alisteal 06-03-2006, 10:21 PM ... ConnorsMommy 06-03-2006, 11:01 PM I'll be thinking about you guys! I hope you get the answers you're looking for! Please keep us posted:D |
