I'm not sure about the vinegar but to clean it with hot soapy water all you do is take it apart and soakit in hot soapy water for about 20 minutes. Is the electrical piece sepearte from the machine? That is how I have clean the machines but I have always had the mask.

I clean the mask and reservoir in hot soapy water after each use and let them air dry. I wipe down the machine with a damp cloth if it needs it (gets dusty or whatever).
