Thanks for all the info guys!!!
we went to the new pediatrician today, she said she didnt know alot about DGE so she felt the best thing at this point was a gi referal so we are gonna start there, but there isnt one here in east south ca, so i will have to go to Loma Linda.
We talked about changing formulas, The boys are on isomil but she doesnt seem to think changing anything in that department will help.she did suggest Enfamil AR... isnt that harder to digest since it gels up??? but would rather try the carnation good start SOY and see if that helps, we tried the good start milk based a couple weeks ago, it seemed like nick did better with the digestion, but they both had lots of spittin and congestion so we went back to isomil.
they definately arent failing to thrive... they were 3lb6oz and 3lb2.6oz at birth and are now 18lb12oz and 17lb12oz. at 7months. since starting the reglan nick has caught up with alex, they were about 3-4 lbs difference now only a pound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
she ordered a upper gi for alex to see what it says and we will go from
there. i am just glad that she is willing to refer me so easily.
at this point we havent started them on much solids.. they are 7 mos, adjust age 5mos and alex did good with some of the cereals and some fruit so far, but nick vomitted the cereal the first time and since then wont eat anything from a spoon. my mom tried a couple bites of applesauce and he was fussy all night.. no clue if any correlation or not.
is so often in pain its hard... he just screeches and cries and cries and cries but when he feels good (the few short hours between when he eats and when he gets an upset stomach) he is such a calm happy baby.

should i start solids??? ive been workin with alex but im afraid to add anything to nicks diet in the risk of upseting the very delicate balance we have right now.

Welcome to the boards. Twins, nice! I am glad that you got the referral to see the GI and that your pediatrician understood the need. Wondering how old your other child was when they outgrow reflux? So I guess you are an old pro at this. Best wishes

"should i start solids??? ive been workin with alex but im afraid to add anything to nicks diet in the risk of upseting the very delicate balance we have right now."

Since their growth/eating isn't a factor I'm going to give the same advice to you as I do to non refluxers. Let them lead the way.
If he isn't interested take lot's of breaks from trying. Take things slowly with trying new foods, and just make eating a fun learning experience. If it seems like either one of your babies aren't enjoying those awesome new textures and tastes, they aren't ready yet, so hold back for a little while.
WIth refluxers though things do progress more slowly (I THINK we would all agree on this) definitely try one food at a time and give everything a good trial.

My little Emilia didn't get into solids until around 8 months old (This is late to most), from there she took off and did very well.
Eric started earlier. I thought it would help him and was very discouraged that it just made things worse for him, but kept going because I wanted it to help. (I never take my own advice LOL)
I tried at 4 months with him, he wasn't interested at all, and then I tried weekly and eventually at around 6.5 months he wanted to eat. Then the madness began. I'm not trying to discourage you at all, just trying to let you know it's O.K. to take it slowly. It's O.K. nutritionally, emotionally, and physically, to relax and not take solids so seriously in the beginning.
Do you know there are lot's of people that start solids at one year? These babies do fine too. Yeah, it may not be the "norm" but it's what works best for their child, and for them.
Listen to both of them and follow what they want. As long as they aren't being detrimental to their health, it's O.K.

Good luck with whatever you decide, and I hope feeding is fun for both of them soon

I am glad that you had a good appointment. I agree with Minnie on the solids, the only thing I would do is write a food diary and start really early to see if you can identify foods that he won't tolerate and get reflux on.

I only have a few minutes and haven't been on much in the last week....but wanted to quickly say to NOT go with Enfamil AR. I'm not sure what your ped was thinking. Yes, Enfamil AR is thicker and helps some, but it is milk based. If you put them on soy because of them not tolerating milk than you would be moving backwards with this. We tried Enfamil AR, but that was before we figured out they were milk intolerant. And then eventually figured out that the soy was also causing problems...You can get the same effect of the "AR" formula by thickening the other formula youself. Plus, if he has DGE, sometimes thickening it can cause more problems - although with Bryna she needs it thickened and has DGE too...

I'll try to come back to this to address your other questions, but wanted to quickly reply to the formula thing.
