James will be having his scope, pH probe, and allergy panel done next Monday. I was just wondering if any of you had any advice on how to survive those six hours when he can't eat before the tests and how to get through that 24-hour probe. Also, any particular questions I should ask once the tests are done. I know quite a few of you have been through this and I know I am getting so anxious about it all, especially having to listen to him scream when he can't have his bottle before the tests. I am just so afraid I am going to forget to ask something.

Hello there!
It will be fine! My only advice for before the test is to make sure you don't accidently give him something, which we have done not thinking. Anyhow, hope it goes well for you guys and I bet it won't be so bad, it wasn't for us.

I don't really have many suggestions for you. Sorry I am not much help. Hope everything goes well for you!
I promise the probe willbe fine. Just a few seconds to put the small tube in, but otherwise, maiya did not even notice it was in for 24 hours
the worse worse part was no meds for 5 days prior (for us anyways)
In terms of not eating, she always slept in the car so we drove round and round the hospital to keep her asleep
For us, we had a milk scan that lasted 1hour. I had brought her favourite sesame street tape, and the nurses put it in, and believe it or not, she did not cry at all.
Every test was a lot better than I thought it would be- my imagination was worse
Good luck
