DD is on Enfamil AR and we use the Playtex nursers with the silicone nipples (slow flow) The problem is that AR clogs the nipple half the time. I dont' want to move her up to a fast flow yet b/c she has forceful vomiting occasionally and I don't want to make that worse. I wonder if there is a difference btn silicone and latex nipples? Anyone know?

We use the same bottle. When she was on Enfamil AR she could never get it out of the slow flow nipple. They do have a fast flow you could try since the formula is thicker so it won't really be as fast as you would think. Bryna has acutally been on the y-cut nipples since about 6 weeks because she doesn't have the patience to suck thickened formula out of any of the other flow nipples. I did switch her to fast flow a month ago...but after a few days she got mad and decided if it wasn't y-cut, she just wasn't going to eat. For us, the nipple hasn't made any difference in her vomiting. Most reflux babies cycle with their vomiting, so its just part of reflux, not the nipple.
The latex nipples and the silicone come in the same flows (but I dont think there is a latex y-cut). It really doesn't make a difference in terms of the hole size and getting the AR through it - but for some their baby latches better on one or the other. So you could buy one and try it.

We also use the Y cut playtex nursers, but I have to cut the nipple a bit to get it to flow. I also have to check them frequently because they begin to rip after a while. I end up replacing them around every 2 months.

My son is on the same stuff and also on playtex nursers. We use the fast flow nipples for the formula. We saved the slow flow nipples for the juice.
