How to set up and online auction: :19:

Go to the Classifieds home page at http://www.infantrefluxdisease.com/pp-classifieds (http://www.infantrefluxdisease.com/pp-classifieds).

1. You will see a yellow menu bar near the top of the page, click on "Place An Ad"

2. On the next page you will see a box for Ad placement. In this box it says Step 1 of 3 and here you are to choose which type of Ad you would like to place. Using the drop down menu choose between a For Sale or a Wanted Ad and click on Submit.

3. For a For Sale Ad: on the next page you see Step 2 of 3 which is another drop down Menu. Here you will choose which catagory you wish to place your ad in. Use the drop down menu to choose from the catagories listed and then click on Submit.

Wanted Ad: **Currently not a working option**

4. On this next page you will begin to create your ad. Here you will enter the Title for your ad, upload any images of the item, the condition and asking price for your item. This page is also where you will choose the length of time your ad will run. If you would like your ad to run as an auction (Ebay style) simply put the starting price in the asking price box and click the box where it asks if you would like members to bid on your item. The next drop down menu has the choices Yes and No, this is to allow members to Buy your item immediately and to be able to purchase the item from you as well as pay directly through PayPal. **Please note: You must have your registered email with the site the same as your PayPal account email to make this functional. To finish your ad simply write a description of the item and choose a few keywords. Scroll down and click Submit once again.

5. After you click Submit you will be taken to the listing for your ad and you are completed. If you need to make any changes, near the bottom of your listing are a set of links, click on Edit Ad and make any necessary changes. **Please Note: If you make changes to your ad please be sure to reset your options for the Buy It Now Feature to the choice you prefer.

I am trying to post an ad and I click on the link provided and I cannot seem to find the "Place an Ad" button. It could very well be my tired mommy eyes that are failing me. :-) Help! Thanks a lot!

It's not a button, it's just a text link in the yellow menu bar at the top of the page, just underneath the main menu bar that you see on the top of all the forum pages. In the yellow menu bar, look across to the far right and you will see the words Place An Ad. I know, it's not in a very visible spot.

Sorry, you're right. It was a usergroup permissions problem. It should work now. Please let me know if you have any more trouble with it.
