I say everyday to him, "Hobbes, I love you!" and today, he quietly repeat love you ma. I said it twice to make sure I heard right and I did!!! How absolutely FANTASTIC Shannon! I am so happy for you and can imagine you are walking on air today! It was not so long ago that you did not know Hobbes was autistic and then wondering if you would ever hear such a sentence from your son. You deserve big time kudos for all your hard work and perseverence as it is paying off! I am so thrilled and this has literally made my day!:yahoo:

Give Hobbes a high five for me!

Hobbes is going to be 4 at the end of May.

Thanks, Leigh! Today marks the one year anniversary where we got the call that Hobbes has austism and where we know nothing about it or when it mean for him so for today to be the the day that he said that was the best gift we could have for each other!!!!:smt047:love10::wav:

I have had him say it at least 4x since he first said!:smt047:

I remember when Shae-Lynne was unable to speak and when she first 'signed' .."I Love You" to me. That was also an awesome experience.

Shae never showed much feelings, you know like being cuddly, etc (except to Roni), so her not seeing me very often and then still signing that to me was especially nice.

I'm so happy for you, Shannon! You already know that I've cried tears of joy with you. As the parents of another special needs child, I know what it is like to wait forever to hear those words, and how extra special they are. All of your hard work is paying off! WTG!!!!!
