I have spoken to a number of the people involved in treating Larissa and I sense that each of them is trying to find the thread that binds. Okay she has GERD, wierd brain thingy, some muscular things hypertone, wierd balance and likes vibration on the face. She is extremely happy child, teases, learns very quickly how to solve any climbing problem (or restraint system...she can get out of a 5 point harness!). Now they are beginning to think that her feeding aversion, limited attention, seeking vibration or other head stimulation, and the lack of tears when she falls.....as all being related and to treat one, we need to treat the sensory thing. This whole idea is somewhat new to me. Larissa does not sit still, unless held "firmly", does not play with anything for longer than a minute or two (but has not been diagnosed ADD or ADHD), loves her vibrator tooth brush, and my back massager. Sooo.....you thoughts?

Yes, it definitely sounds like a sensory thing. Do you have a good OT who has experience with sensory issues and how to do therapy for them? If you haven't already done so, you might want to check out the sticky in this forum with a link for a sensory processing disorder check list. The rest of that site is full of information too.
