I'm investigating "fructose malapsorption" and I'm having one heck of a time finding a good, solid list of just how much fructose is in what. Pam (pt) posted a great list on another post, but I need some ideas of things that are fructose free to try and feed to Noah. What I REALLY want to know is how much fructose is in an avacado compared to other fruits. We don't THINK Noah has reacted to avacado, and if he did, it was mild. So, if anyone can help me with this topic, please, please, please, post anyting you know!!!

Whew! I searched and searched, I finally found you a list. I hope that this helps you Maggie. http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/Data/Other/herr48.pdf
This is the link. Check it out and see what you think. I think it is Adobe.

Thank you, Emily! Wow! I looked and looked and looked, and got basically no where. I still don't quite get how to translate the list, but I'll start studying it!

Maggie~ I wasn't quite sure either. But I was hoping that it would help you.
I did scroll down and found Avocado~ .2 fructose. Don't know if that is grams or what, but it does look like it is low in fructose. Makes sense. I also found that they way that they test for that is a hydrogen breath test (?) So, maybe ask the doc. about that. I really hope you can get somewhere w/this.
