Well I got Jackson in to an allergist.
The one we got in to yesterday needed a referral from our Ped. before they will see us. I called the ped. and the receptionist asked me if I had discussed these issues w/Dr. Steele. We have, but he just pretty much wanted us to wait until he gets closer to being on whole milk, before we do any kind of testing. But I want to know now, w/out getting him sick, what we are dealing with. So I was aggrivated yesterday.
This morning I had an allergy office call me back that I had left a message at yesterday. They took my info. and when I told her that he was only 5 mos. old, she said that she would have to talk to the doc. first, he doesn't see babies until they are 18 mos.:-?
She called me back and I could hear the doc. in the background telling her what to ask me, then I heard him say, tell her to bring him in and I will see if I can help them. **I thought that was really nice**
I'm sure that testing isn't conclusive when they are so little, right? Is that the reason for waiting? But, I still wonder if this isn't part of his reflux problems and his refusal issues.
We go on Thursday at 9am and they don't require a referral from our ped. **woohoo**
I, like Maggie, wonder what they will do on first visit.
