Yesterday, formula only. Today, peaches, oatmeal and Ritz crackers ... all thought to be "safe." Catherine's eczema patch is bigger than ever and glowing red. Red bottom is back, too.

We just can't win for trying!

She ate 2/3 of a jar tonight with dh cajoling her to take every bite before she just dissolved into a fit of hysteria. A little later she was sitting in the center of my bed while I was putting her pajamas on, and she just started screaming out of the blue. Can I not just feed my child formula for the rest of her life???

:(

Could it still be the peas?

Could she be getting something at the babysitter's?

It's been 3 days since the last peas so I don't think so. I also don't think she's getting anything else at the babysitter. I got that message across loud and clear!

This has got to be frustrating! :(

Not to hijack - but we are reintroducing foods too and peaches were on our "safe" list but yesterday gave her reflux and irritability for a few hours. Had to break out the Mylanta. Very frustrating because there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for Catherine's reaction, does it? I sure wish I had an answer for you.

Hey, Cindy ... do you ever get to south Texas? :toothy10:

Hey Lesley I can totally relate to your frustration! I swear my child is going to live on applesauce and Neocate for the rest of his life(LOL)

Lesley, I get about south as Conroe regularly, Houston occasionally and Galveston not near as often as I like! How about you ever head to deep east Texas?

Remember it can take weeks for proteins to leave the body and it's not unusual for them to wreak havoc as they leave. I know the first 4 days on Neocate were the worst in Evan's life w/ his reflux, it was just the milk proteins leaving his system.

Thanks for the reminder, Jennifer. Patience is not one of my virtues.

Hmmmm.. maybe the peas are still doing their nasty work... Poor Catherine. I really wish it wasn't so hard for her to start foods.... (I'm sure you do too!) :-(

Poor kid! I know what your going through LEsley and it stinks. We are trying to figure out what it is that is causing a reaction in ALexys and it is SO frustrating:hug:

So if she had peas(an offender) a few days ago, they would still cause her to have reflux when eating other foods(non-offenders). How in the heck do we ever get off of single foods at this rate? Grrrr.....

I'm thinking of going to a 100% water and Ritz cracker diet for her, lol!

And no, we never get to east Texas. Too many trees for me, lol! Claustrophobia sets in! :smt087

I hope things start to get better for her soon...Perhaps it's still the peas leaving her system???
