Starting with a clean slate and perfectly clear skin, we are reintroducing solids to Catherine.

Four days of only peaches and we're still good.

On day 3 of peas, eczema on her face and the red anal ring came back. Continued with peas for a 4th day.

Did not (but should have, I'm sure) allow her skin to clear up again and moved on to sweet potatoes yesterday. Eczema is worse.

Can we draw any conclusions here?

I would definately draw a conclusion about the peas but not the potato. You should have her clear up first in case it was still peas causing the reaction. A good 4 days or more allergen free is required or until any reactions stop.

Poor thing. At least you have peaches though!

The sad, but incredibly convenient, thing is Catherine is perfectly happy to subsist on formula and Ritz crackers. OK .. food free for another four days. Or, is it OK to go back to peaches for four days just so she gets some solids?

Generally speaking foods that have been cleared as fine are allowed to be continued. If you find any so-so reactions then go back to basics. We have gone back to basics so many times here and I totally understand not wanting to do that. Think about it as stairs you are climbing, sometimes you do not have to go right to the basement again and can start on the first floor instead.

Bummer about the peas Lesley  I'd stay away from the green veges for a bit.. and do the potatoes/carrots a go. They say green legumes are harder to digest....
Good luck with your on-going trial!!

Lesley I know it is hard to take a couple steps back when all you want to do is go forward. After Ali's first endoscopy at almost 11 months old her GI wanted to have her stop eating everything and only drink Neocate for a month b/c her esophagus was so severely damaged. I was reluctant b/c Ali was already FTT and I did not want her to lose more. She did lose more - hated the Neocate at first but she gradually began to drink more. At the end of the month we started gradually adding new foods starting with organic rice and had to wait the 3-5 days bewteen new foods. It was frustrating b/c we were so impatient for her to gain and to avoid a g-tube but it was the best thing we did for her. It did give her time for the esophagus to heal and she gradually began to eat more and we avoided the tube. Fortunately only carrots gave her a reaction and within months she was eating a good variety that we knew was not aggrevating her reflux. So hang in there, hopefully Catherine will be better for it in the long run.

Yup, you can go back to peaches. I wouldn't give anything else though till her skin is better again. I think we're doing bananas next since pears are a pass! Woohoo!
