Just wondering how your kiddos did with peaches? So far we have struck out with bananas ( doesn't like them) and Pears (caused gas and fussiness) thought I would give peaches a try but I was wondering if anyone had problems with them. Also what is the best veggie to start out with? I was thinking about either sweet potatoes or squash.
Maiya has handled sweet potato, butternut squash, pears, mango, cantaloup, banana and apples, apricots. Tonight we did a mix that had nectarines- huge huge error- horrible reflux

Peaches were fine with us. I also found that the boys didn't like banana in the early days.. they hated the fruit but would eat banana yoghurt- go figure. Now, they will eat banana, but only if mixed with something else.. I think it's too slimey! ;-)
Sometimes peaches and apples together works better to start with.... Good luck!

Peaches are ok over here for Owen, he didn't like bananas at first either but now eats them.
Squash or sweet potatoes is a good start for veggies, some people start with carrots. Those are a big "no,no" here though, he gets a horrible diaper rash from them. Good luck and I hope he'll enjoy the new foods.

NOOOOOOOOO peaches for us! the day we landed in the hospital was the first time we tryed them and he puked from moments after he finished eating at 11:00 am to 6:00pm and that was the only thing he ate all day.:( It could have been an alergic reaction is what i am thinking. Big brother had pyloric stynosis and after surgery was fine but had horid reactions to caned fruit coctail, peaches, and PINEAPPLE. Be careful and i hope all goes well.

When we first started solids at 7-8 months, almost everything caused reactions and Catherine lived for a couple of months on rice cereal, bananas and squash. The second time we tried to introduce all fruits and veggies went more smoothly but a perpetual case of eczema and red bottom cropped up. After a major illness two weeks ago, during which Catherine ate no solids, her skin completely cleared up. Face and bottom. Soft and smooth, just like a baby ought to be. We are reintroducing solids again. So far, peaches are good; peas and sweet potatoes are not.

We had terrific success with peaches.:blob7: Jackson loves them.
Other's he can eat are :
sweet potatoes, apples, bananas*not crazy about them*, squash, peaches, pears, MANGO *I was surprised on this one but he LOVED it*
It is scarey at first, you don't know how they will react.
