Ok, I've dealt with allergies all of my life but have never even heard of cross-reactions. So my youngest has tested allergic to peas and potatoes. On the list of possible reactions for BOTH is apples and carrots. How common have cross-reactions been for you?

We are still trying to work through Curran's allergies and intolerances here but I have heard of many people who have cross reactions. For instance I know someone who can eat potatoes but not with any wheat products. Another one reacts to rice if they have citrus juice in the same day. These sorts of things are very controversial but they do happen. It is just a matter of plain old detective work and keeping a log of foods and reactions to see a pattern.

Frustrating, isn't it?:coffee:

I'll have to look at my list and see how Evan is. So far he's pretty intolerant it seems to legumes in general, definitely peas and soy and so we're assuming peanuts as well. The only other thing is mango is in the tree nut family which can correspond w/ peanut allergies as well. Besides that, nothing really fits together that's on his list.
